Titan receives UL certification for North American and Canadian markets

16th September 2009: Titan Energy Systems, one of the India’s leading manufacturers of photovoltaic (PV) modules, announced that it has received Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) certification for a wide range of its mono/multi crystalline power modules.

UL, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification services, announced the completion of testing and certification of Titan modules for the North American and Canadian market. UL performed the safety and performance tests on Titan modules according to the UL 1703-Third edition and has since been declared as passed.

“Having already completed certification in the European markets, we are now setting our sights on the rapidly growing North American and Canadian markets focusing on roof top and grid-tied Utility-Scale installations” said Mr.Ramesh Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer of Titan Energy. “It was a pleasure working with the UL team and they have put in much effort in order to successfully complete the testing. Titan, ever since 2000 had existing approvals from JRC and TUV for its performance and safety as per IEC 61215-2005 and IEC61730 that are mandatory for European and rest of the world markets. Following the testing, the products received the UL mark for North America and Canada.
